Our Key Strategies

The White Ribbon Alliance India (WRAI) adopts a participatory strategy planning process to promote our vision and objectives in India. These processes undertaken by members aim to review our achievementsand to develop a - three year strategy and action plans in a collective, participatory manner.

The main strategies that guides our overall work in India are:

  • Identify and share applicable knowledge and best practices
  • Mobilize involvement and endorsement from policy makers
  • Implement innovative projects and campaigns through partners and networks
  • Disseminate messages and information through the mass media
  • Mobilize celebrities to talk about the issue
  • Work at the community level using social mobilization models

The strategies, identified at the most recent Strategy Planning Exercise, which will be the focus of our work in 2016-19 are:
